Side Mission 4: Recreation

AN: (Can take place anytime while on Rannoch during the walkthrough as it is really a mini-game)

[Finally settled into his and Talis new house, Shepard decided to check the place out without an escort so he wouldn’t get lost in the big house himself. The final room he checked was the basement of the house which had been turned into a recreation center. He played around with the control panel flipping through all the different sports he could play. Tali came down the elevator.]

-Tali: I figured I’d find you hanging around down here. Want to play a game?

[Shepard thought of two things to say:
-NEUTral 1: Bring it on!
-NEUtral 2: I’m a little tired.]

-SHEPard: Sure, I’m feeling energized.

-Tali: You may have to teach me how to play them though.

-Shepard: Not a problem. Let’s see which game is perfect for you.

(At this point Shepard can choose from the following:  Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Cycling, Fencing, Go-karts, Golf, Ice Skating, Pool, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Tennis. Shepard teaches Tali the basics of any sport he chooses then the real games begin. Shepard winning depends on how many PARAGON and renegade interrupts the player does. If an equal number of PARAGON and renegade interrupts is chosen then the outcome of each session will depend on how Shepards romantic relationship is going. If PARAGON, Shepard loses gracefully, if renegade then Shepard can’t control his excitement and makes Tali a little upset.)

{Shepard winning through renegade interrupts on good terms relationship:
-Shepard(playfully): I have to say, you picked that up pretty quickly, but you forgot who you were going up against.

-Tali(playfully): No fair, you were too rough!

-Shepard: What?! Oh now I’m offended.

-Tali: Offended enough to play again and prove you can win without being so aggressive?

-Shepard: You’re on.

-Tali: Care to make things more interesting?

-Shepard: Ok how?

-Tali: If I win, we do whatever I want tonight and if you win then we do what you want.

Shepard tried to hide a smile.

-Shepard: Now you’re making this fun!

They begin playing again; Shepard earns 35 renegade points.}

{Shepard losing through paragon interrupts on good term relationship:
-Tali(playfully): Haha! Are you sure that was an Earth game? Because you really sucked at it.

-Shepard(playfully): That was just beginners luck. You can’t win every time.

-Tali: Let’s test that theory shall we?

-Shepard: You’re on!

-Tali: Care to make things more interesting?

-Shepard: Ok how?


-Tali: If I win, we do whatever I want tonight and if you win then we do what you want.

Shepard tried to hide a smile.

-Shepard: Now you’re making this fun!

They begin playing again; Shepard earns 35 PARAGON points.}

{Shepard winning through renegade interrupts on bad relationship:
-Shepard: Yes! Make way for the winner!

-Tali(upset): Yeah well, congrats and all that.

-Shepard: What’s wrong?

-Tali: Nothing. I should go make sure the security systems up.

She begins walking away.

-Shepard: You don't want to play again.

-Tali: Maybe some other time. I’m pretty worn out.

Shepard raises an eyebrow and thinks maybe there’s a few relationship problem he needs to take care of. He begins practicing and earns 70 renegade points.}

{Shepard losing through PARAGON interrupts on bad relationships:
-Tali: I- I won?

-Shepard: Damn you’re pretty good!

-Tali: You mean you didn’t just let me win?

-Shepard: Of course not. Well ok maybe I took it down a notch for you but we’re both sweating aren’t we?

-Tali: I guess so. Good game honey!

She begins to walk away.

-Shepard: You too. Want to play again?

-Tali: Maybe later. I’m kind of hungry. What would you like to eat?

-Shepard: Something easy. Delivery probably.

-Tali: That’s what I was thinking.

She goes back up the elevator. Shepard begins practicing again and earns 100 PARAGON points.}

[From that point forward, Shepard can invite any friend or friends of his to play a game. The list of sports increases to include team sports such as American Football, Baseball, Boxing, Dodge Ball, Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Wrestling etc. (No PARAGON or renegade points can be obtained after the first game with the love interest.)]
